Actually I've never met a person who rips bongs on a regular basis who was successful, whether it be financially or by personal achievements. Also, if they considered themselves successful, then it was because they measured personal success as being able to sit in their room ripping said bongs all day. This doesn't apply to touring musicians, trust fund babies, or inheritance.
Not saying a person like that doesn't exist, but I've just never met him/her.

I think when it comes to weed and alcohol for that matter, everything in moderation... - that's how I live my life and it works out for me.
I don't come home everyday and drink until I pass out, and I don't rip bongs on a daily basis. However: everyone knows I enjoy the two
I just do them in good moderation and don't let it interfere with my 'life'
With that being said: I actually do know many people who are successful and happy who rip bongs on a daily basis. What may work for 'me'
may not work for someone else, and that someone else might find great balance and way to drink daily and rip bongs.
I hate to generalize on issues like this... (not saying you are Chris)
If you smoke/ drink daily and it works for you, and you do other things in life other than THAT, then more power to you, if you're happy.
What I can't stand though, are 'drunks' or 'stoners' who pretty much put their lives on hold, in order to sit on their butts every single day
and get high or stoned with no purpose or anything, and do absolutely ZERO with their lives.
Know what I mean? Kinda hard to explain without sounding too judgmental.

Kevin lives a great life, for a single guy. Throw a girl into the equation, and some kids, and it's gonna be a bit of a rough ride. Nothing against him.
Well, joint smokers can be the sam,e and I've met them, but I've also met the people who work 9-5 and smoke joints morning till night, I've NEVER met a guy who did the same with bongs and held down that kind of commitment to a job.
Why don't you start slow and get a girlfriend and an ipod.

Why is smoking out of a bong such a big deal? I use one because it's more cost effective and less harsh on the throat. Joints are slobbery and would make my entire house reek of weed.

Where do you work btw? Bongs are not as harsh in a different sense, I know what you're saying, but joints are not slobbery unless someone you're smoking with is a fucking mongoloid
