By definition, no, atheism is not a religion, but what Dead_Lioness means to say (I think) is that atheism is, for all intents and purposes, a religion, the difference between other religions being that atheism proclaims that there is no God. Remember that atheism != agnosticism. Agnostics indeed have no religion. Atheists do, seeing as they accept a religious dogma.
