tonight's visit to a local mall resulted in this interesting and gross purchase:

hmmm, a "dong hui pearl"

apparently there is a pearl contained inside a mollusk, which will grant you a wish and bring you luck based upon the color

*removes the mollusk container from the nice lil box*

eww

and this tells me what the colors mean! hmm, fuccess?

*opens*

it stunk

yes! i got the fuccess pearl!

and put it in the lil necklace

I think the "fuccess" was a misunderstanding on the part of the poor bastard who set the type. The capital S in some old fonts kind of like an F, so they probably figured that the F was a fancy S. Makes for amusing Engrish though.

it did! it wasn't an overwhelming funk, but it kinda smelled like dirty pond water.
