Just gotta let that shit grow, mang. I HATE having my hair tied too tight. I used to pull it pretty good before I tied it and then I realized I didn't need to, it made a world of difference.

Just gotta deal with it until it gets long enough.

Do you guys ever worry tying your hair back could make it recede?

I don't think that can happen. I tie my hair back pretty tightly and I still have a full, thick head of hair. It could be a factor I suppose, but I don't think anyone knows for sure, same way no one knows for sure that wearing caps will make your hair fall out.

Tying your hair back does damage it, because of the elastic. When you brush or comb your hair, you'll notice it's always tangled where your elastic is.

Ahh yeah you should be able to pull that back without going too tight. You can always braid it too. I like braiding mine because it always makes it feel like my hair doesn't even exist. It's a good way to forget about it for a while, but I don't know how to do it myself haha.
