While that is true, for me, it doesn't make any difference when it comes to what I use to carry my books in. It doesn't need any charm. Music is different. That's far more personal and even spiritual for me, but a satchel? The satchel only needs to be conveniently portable, which it is. A backpack was better for high school when I had to carry seven books and seven notebooks around, but in college, I only have to carry three books and one notebook at one time usually, so I just need something small and comfortable. Of course, the backpack that I have is also absurdly big since it is made to carry my absurdly big laptop as well as my books. So I could buy a smaller backpack, but fuck that. The satchel was free. I'm going to use it until it's just the strap tied around the books.
