it fucks up your hair hardcore and (im not sure about you personally) you cant really wash it because then it gets frizzy and curly again.
that was me when i was like 16 and had it straightened, it's a bitch.

Truth. John, even if you get it chemically straightened, it's still going to be frizzy, just a straight kind of frizzy. I think it's more of a pain to take care of in that state. At least with curly hair, if you just wash it and let it curl how it wants to then it won't be so frizzy. With frizzy straight hair it's just frizzy and you'll have to take the flat iron to it to make it look halfway decent.
And it makes your hair weaker. Mine was literally like elastic when it was wet. And so weak that the flat iron always broke a lot of it off.

I would have to disagree! Before I ever straightened my hair, it was actually at it's worst state when I used Mane & Tail (had to try it because of all the hooplah). I guess it's alright for naturally straight/normal hair, but it did nothing to help smooth mine out.
After years I've finally settled with Tresemme, either the Silky Smooth or Anti-Breakage shampoo and conditioner. Good stuff. My hair is pretty decent as long as I stick with that.

I agree, Cara, Main and Tail did nothing for my hair. 
If anything I think it was frizzier. Now, that stuff called udder cream does wonders for dry skin! Ima try that Tresemme now, also, it would seem lately that suave shampoo is making my hair feel dry as shit, and Tresemme actually seems cheaper, because you get more per bottle.

When I colored my hair I used some cholesterol goop made for black people, my hair was really dry and brittle. That stuff was awesome. Now I use the john frieda brunette stuff, I likes it.

Tresemme is a good deal! The only bad thing about it is that I get tired of smelling the same smell every time I wash my hair. I've strayed away from it a couple of times simply because of that, but regretted it soon after. Pantene does nothing for me. Garnier Fructis does nothing for me. Sunsilk has actually treated me well, but not as well as Tresemme. Infusium isn't even as good for my hair, except the leave in treatment, which I still use sometimes.

Yeah, same here. It takes a couple of days worth of straightening before it looks and feels right. And then as soon as I wash my face or something I have to straighten all the little hairs around my face again. UGH.
