Actually, considering both notation formats simultaneously, X+5 wouldequal 15 (or XV in roman notation).

No, cause then you have to do order of operations and it would be (5+5) which is equal to X. So it would be X-X, which equals zero.:lol:

Nope, the order there is irrelevant. To get X-X you would actually need to apply X-(5+5). :lol:

-5+5 == 0
-(5+5) == 10
