Heh, I also saw both Angra and Edguy at Wacken, the 1999 version.
Edguy were the first band of the weekend on the True Metal stage (ie the really big one), I was able to stand front and center no problem. I recall it was a good show, but I wasn't really familiar with them at the time... next week I'll be more prepared! Tobias Sammet did wear cow-pants though... can't go wrong with cow-pants
Angra were mid-evening on the Party stage... the tent was pretty packed. Then again it was raining at the time Anyhow it was a great show, I guess one of their last with Andre Matos. I'm very interested to hear their new singer on the Angel's Cry / Holy Land songs.
For the record, I've also seen Gamma Ray (twice), Blind Guardian, and Threshold... all three at this year's Bloodstock, and GR at Wacken 2000 also. Can't wait to see Kai Hansen again... he always has so much energy on stage!
