WITH YOUR HOST THE METAL MAD MAN?

LOL

I totally just saw this on youtube (move this to the lounge if necessary?). I thought it would be a pretty cool idea to have a few organized beer games at prog power. that would be very, very fun and very, very entertaining. Like hell even if you have to CHARGE a fee to get IN the games, I would be down...

thoughts?

I used to love doing this...

...that said, I think this ProgPower is going to be spent sober. I'm being pretty strict about the no-alcohol with my exercise routine.

HAHAHA! Now that's a event I can get into! I used to have about 15 videos of chugs on youtube but I only have about 6 or 7 now.

The comments on my videos are the best.

I now just wait for the lecture from someone on how "immature" I am for doing these videos. There's actually a story behind how they started that perhaps I'll share someday.

Those who know me know that I am basically immune to beer, and need A LOT to even get a buzz. It depends on the beer and the hop contents (alc vol does not play an impact for me). I can drink a 12 pack of Sam Adams and be just fine, and not even be bloated or buzzed. However with those unfiltered Smuttynose IPA's (the beer I chug in the video above) I don't get a buzz but I get bloated, and a little lazy after 4. A Long Trail IPA I can drink about 9 or so (another unfiltered beer) before catching a small buzz. No watered down pissweiser here....I'm pretty much a hophead/microbrew fanatic. I've tried over 300 different IPA's (Indian Pale Ales) and am always looking to try more! Lately I been enjoying Sebago Fryes Leap IPA from Maine. DELICIOUS!

I have a video posted chugging a Dogfish Head 120 IPA which is 20% Alc Vol. I would love to chug a Sam Adams Utopias at 26% but I'm not about to spend 250.00 on it! ;) Would just love to read the comments saying I don't "respect" beer like it has feelings.

Well, I'd bring my beer pong table, but those bastards at Delta would probably make me check it.

Seriously, no drinking games for me. Last time I chugged with the Metal Madman, it ended poorly for one of us. :u-huh:

Dude, you need to get your ass over to Germany and Belgium and drink real beer... :hahamiddlefinger:

Trust me I know what REAL beer is. There's nothing in Germany and Belgium that I don't get from an American Microbrewery.

You guys over there in Europe have the shitty English style IPA's. I'm into the North American West Coast style IPA's which have tons of hop kick, bite and will kick your ass with a mouthful of flavor.

Matter of fact I was the guy walking around at PPUSA a few years ago with a growler of Leatherlips IPA (from The Tap in Haverhill, MA), and I remember having Tore Moren try some on the Artmore patio, and he said it was too strong and potent haha!

I remember that! Good times (well at least for me haha)!

Bro, I am talking real beer, not IPAs, but beer that tastes good! Haha. I remember going to a microbrewery in Indianapolis, and after tasting all their stuff I ordered a Jack'n Coke!
Red Oak in NC is awesome stuff though, and some of Sam Adams' seasonals are not bad (much better than their regular ones).

I got one that you would love Frode, it's called ROSWELL ALIEN ALE

Dude seriously, we should get a prog power USA beer pong table. Games start at $10 each and goes towards the beer and paying for the custom table!!!

You know, for busting on "fags" in your video, you sure took that like a champ.

Thanks I been waiting for this type of response. It's taken a while but at least I'm not left disappointed now.

The next time I'm called a Guinea (Yes I'm Italian) I'll go looking for my crying towel! ;)

@bwrightson : JEALOUS! I been wanting one of those for many years now!

Ever chugged one of these?
