Pre-ordered your Vanden Plas "Christ0" yet ?

So far I love it, I've been singing the chorus from Christ 0 for the past few days, it's a killer and the best song they've ever done. Some of the other tunes take more time to get into and this is a sure sign of a great album, I remember I took me ages to get into Images and Words.

I would liked to have heard Stefan shred a bit more ala Rainmaker but this is overal a more classy affair, the real star here is Andy Kuntz, his voice is superb.

Its a play on the title of the book that it deals with the concept of, namely "The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexandre Dumas. you might have heard of the guy, he also wrote "The Three Musketeers" etc. great book, great album.

Oh course I've heard of Alexandre Dumas...and who hasn't heard about The Three Musketeers?

Since it's a play on the title of the book shouldn't it be pronounced Christ O instead of Christ Zero then?

"VANDEN PLAS have set "Christ 0" ("Christ Zero") as the title of their upcoming concept album, which is said to be a modern adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' book "Monte Cristo". The band are also working on a rock opera based on the same concept, but the regular VANDEN PLAS album is their main priority. Even though the band has been working on theater-oriented material for their rock opera, "Christ Zero" will be a very heavy album. The band has written more than 25 songs and will chose about 15 of them to work on the arrangements for the album. The leftover material will be used for the rock opera."

Just received this disc. Great music as to be expected and the production is excellent. The bonus track is from Jesus Christ, Superstar and Vanden Plas does a great job covering this. This band and Andy Kuntz in particular are in top form.
