Preproduction

I was just looking at some of the pics from Arch Enemy's preproduction and actual recording of Anthems, and saw that you used a laptop system to do preproduction. I've been thinking about using a laptop for a while, and was just wondering what your setup was.

I can't speak for Andy, but in his Equipment list you find that:

Apple G4 867 Titainium + Mgma 2 bay expansion chassis
plus Software Pro Tools

I think that's it!!!

The Magma expansion chassis is very expensive!!!

yeah youre bang on....pro tools rig on lap top. I used it to record the whole Exodus album also.

The whole exodus album? Damn. . . I see that, at least for the Arch Enemy preproduction, you used some mixer, but what interface card or box did you use to get the signals in?
