Sorry if this is a repeat question--the search function wasn't very helpful...Anyway, have any of you upgraded? Is it actually faster?

On my PC it is faster, indeed! And rock solid! Plus you can use the free new "Dynamics3 Bundle" from Digidesign. If you are on a Mac make sure you're running 10.4.3 otherwise you can't install PT7.

I've been hearing of alot of problems actually so I'm glad it's working out for you. Whenever there's an update like this, I always hold back until all the bugs are ironed out.

the only weird thing that has happened on my system is that importing sessions from previous versions works right up until i go to press space bar to play and then wham - it crashes - ofcourse it's a dim way to open an earlier session but seems strange - as there is no real reason in my limited knowledge as to why that should happen. but all in all it is alot more stable and getting smack le for free with it it was great too. the multiple cpu options have also really helped.

wait til the update is released but definately go fo it!

Check the I/O setup before hitting the space bar (?)
