Pro Tools 9

I don't normally get this excited except for at apple keynotes!
the anticipation is killing me.

Can't believe how excited all of you are
Feels a bit like Apple fanboys before the release of a (really) new product(line) ;)
Gotta admit that I'm a bit excited, too.

Agreed, but to be honest, an open Pro Tools environment would be a huge change in the music production industry.

Fuck, I got so excited and nervous I ate all my chips before the event even started. And I don't have any beer, either.

One standard across the board version of PT, one toolkit for extra goodies, ADC, 96 tracks, 256 busses, reasonable price point, no hardware dependency, watch ;)

At this point of the hype, I can't even imagine the shit storm that would ensue if they actually didn't release anything. Man. It'd be like a zombie apocalypse. Actually, in a strange, twisted way, I'd like to see that.

Maybe I haven't looked at the new PT Native option close enough, but a truly native, hardware-independent PT being released right after doesn't make much sense to me. Why would anyone buy PT Native now? Maybe I don't get it - I barely looked at it. I hope I'm wrong. Actually, I hope I'm wrong and the price isn't silly.

It's on the AIR users blog live stream!
