Prog Metal - Thoughts?

Hey Dudes! I found a preset for Addictive that negated my need for any outboard DSP or even multi-track outputs. Yay! Inspired by the new found kit I kinda threw this together. I know the guitars need to be double-tracked or more and there's no Bass guitar but I liked this so much I said fuck it. This is my first post of any music so be gentle or use lots of lube.

BTW - This is kind of an intro and as is typical for me, I have no idea where to take it from here... There is a third guitar track planned with lead melodies but I haven't worked them out in my head.

from first listen dude, I'm liking the guitar riff(s) and sensing a tad black metal but I'm poser anyway so blink 182 can probably pass for black metal as well.
The drums sit weird in this mix on these litle computer speakers I'm jammin with. The drums are a bit busy for my taste and I'm hearing this more as a bridge than an intro...possibly guitar solo'd as the intro and blast into another part(s) and eventually leading back into this riff with the drum arrangment... I'd go gradual with the crazy hits to give it more impact and lead up to a transition.
Just my borrowed 2 cents.

Yeah, I got carried away on the drums. I didn't really mix anything cause I was so surprised at how the whole thing just fell together. Anyway, props again to Deadstar for the AD preset.
