I have a few, but they probably aren't deemed as prog rock

Primus - Sailing the Seas of Cheese
Primus - Frizzle Fry
Buckethead - Kaleidoscalp

I don't have much prog rock besides PT, Pink Floyd, and little Rush

Professor Fate - Inferno

is my current favorite progressive album. top notch stuff. anyone into ulver or arcturus give it a spin, garm does vox on a track too.

Thanks for that rec.

I have been meaning to ask you NFU, have you heard of a prog band called "Company Caine" ? The reason I ask is I heard about them through a friend who happened to have named his own band Company Caine, before realising the name had been taken by a prog band from the 70's from Australia and I was just wondering whether they were worth checking out?

i have never actually HEARD "company caine", but from what i do know theyre decent and akin to other aussie acts like master's apprentices and gulliver smith. whom actually the singer from gulliver smith was formerly the singer of company caine believe it or not. i havent delved into australian progressive stuff as much as id like to, i just dont have the time anymore, so if you hear them, let me know how it is!

Brand X, UK, and The Dixie Dregs are some others not mentioned that I like a lot...all from the late 70's and early 80's.....as well as Weather Report...are they progessive or jazz fusion??? I'd catagorize them as progressive jazz fusion:)

np: uk's "Rendevouz 6:02" is very awesome indeAd!!!:heh: :headbang: :Smokin: :loco:

80% of the bands mentioned in this thread fail harder than Dream Theater
:erk: I'll admit, I don't care much for them anymore, but Dream Theater doesn't fail that hard ffs.

(I very much realize that they are in my sig, but this was made by someone else, and I couldn't think of any more bands at that point in time. There's actually a few bands on there that I want to remove.)
