Prometheus Sucked

I'm going to say I "enjoyed" the movie but was disappointed that it could have been SO much more.
It was not nearly as good as Alien or Aliens (they are Iconic). I think Ridley Scott should be embarrassed to have his name on the film. It's just an eye candy film like the Phantom Menace.
It had HUGE plot inconsistency and just some dumb dialogue. The script was immature and INFANTILE.
BUT...it was fun to watch. I watch bad slasher films and like them. If a movie keeps me entertained...I'm OK with it. No awards but it's OK. It's not iconic like Alien which is sad but it's a fun "ride."
oh, I did feel David's character was developing well. The writing fell off somewhere with David though near the end. David was the only "real" developed character in the film and he was an Android.
OH wait! Our creators turn into scary monsters who want to rip our heads off? REALLY? super intelligent beings? this is good writing?? REALLY?

actually now that you said it, i agree.
when there's this indiana-jones-for-the-whole-family style cue playing when people are dying horrible deaths... it was like the score was on the bad guys' side.

Saw the movie and enjoyed it, but felt it could have been better. I had a feeling there were some things that I didn't pick up on though, so I did a search to see if someone picked up on anything. I still have some complaints though, mainly with character reactions to events.

i had no idea it was related to alien series but i haven't seen it yet, hope it won't be a disappointment 
Just got back from seeing it. Overall the story was cool, leaves it open for another obligatory ten sequels (no. 3 will be directed by David Fincher lol) but yeah the characters were hollywood cardboard copy paste assholes that just love to disagree with each other. I liked the Captain though, he seemed like the only person with any semblance of a personality.
