Has anyone got the new update yet.

I got CS2 and had more crashes and Glitches than the box version

Anyone experiencing any unusual behavior from cs3

Okay just gave it a shot briefly.

After getting some error message during PACE installation about this version of Windows not being compatible (W7), it kept going and finished up.

I restarted and ran the program. First impression, they didn't fix the minor scrolling issue. Second impression, fuck Digidesign.

More to come.

Yes they didn't fix the scrolling thing. Use the one Shan made on the skunkworks page.

No problems with CS3 here.
Most reports of problems are from people that didn't trash prefs and databases after the update.

Go through the list of what was fixed, some pretty important things there. Digi recommends this update for ALL users.

I've got the PT8 disc still sitting on my desk, and I've been waiting for an update to come out before I jump out of 7.4. Should I just wait for them to come out with a full blown version update? Being in the middle of tracking my album, the last thing I want is to start having to deal with stupid software issues just because I upgraded mid-project.

Aaron, Just stick with PT7.4 till you finsh dude, PT8 has nothing to offer that cant wait until your done.

Things like software updates and seemless compatibility give me the heeby jeeebies haha

i got to the second impression already. although i've been thinking about jumping ship from cubase for a while now. i'm having trouble deciding who pisses me off least out of stienberg or digidesign.

For me it's definitely Steinberg. But Digidesign have the benefit of manufacturing what's actually a good DAW, so they marginally win out.

I'd so be going back to 7.4 now, but I can't because it's the only goddamn piece of software I own that isn't compatible with Windows 7. They truly are some glorious people up there.

Updated a week ago to cs3 and no problems. I didn't even got any problems in 8.0 boxed so I guess I'm just lucky. Running osx 10.5.7 here
