Protools question??

I wanna grab protools 9 cause i seen it for a decent price and i just wanna know is it worth getting and will it work with my mackie onyx?? Im new to protools so i have no idea i use cubase right now

It wouldn't necessarily be an upgrade. What does cubase not do that you need? What about the workflow do you wish was different?

Im interested in a different workflow and different tools my cubase is sx3 so thats 7 years old itself..
Different editing tools and different daw.. I would just upgrade my cubase to 5 or 6 but right now i can get PT9 cheaper then those...
