Is there a shortcut for arming 2 tracks and then jumping to another 2 tracks and arming them and turning of the arm on the previous 2 tracks. I want to switch back and forth between left (Dir and guitar amp track) and the right 2 tracks.

It sucks having to arm everything by hand each time and then turn them off by hand as well when I switch.

Im on protools Le as well.

Well im not sure if its a protools hd feature that is missing in Le but its not in the group track feature. Im hoping for a work around that will work becuse this shit sucks doing by hand all day like 100x.

Yeah you are right, HD allows the record button to be included in track grouping, LE does not. I just use three sets of tracks. Use the first set that is always armed for recording everything and just move the regions down onto the proper tracks after recording on the "record" track. A bit quicker for me at least.

i tend to just open enough trcks for what i need at the moment if i need more i can open more or i hide the ones that are not in use yet
for example a drum kit
1 kick in
2 kick out
3 snare
4 hh
5 tom 1
6 tom 2
8+9 OH L+R

i use the arm all function

thats what i do...
In grid mode with insertion follows playback off.
record part on left hand side.
if using multiple mics, group both left and right individually

after tracking part it should be highlighted.
press x ; v
voila moved below without touching the mouse.
