prs mod?

hey guys i'm using my prs se custom which rocks but i'm looking towards a bit more crunch and so i've been looking at some seymour duncans can anybody recommend a tight passive humbucker that will work well with the mahogany and maple for hardcore and metal? or should i not bother at all?

I'd go with a Custom - a bit more agressive than the JB and not quite as 'sweet,' but with an infinitely tighter low end.

The Custom is a good choice.

I use the Custom 5 myself- it's a Custom with an Alnico 5 magnet. It's a thick, somewhat dark sounding pickup, which may or may not be your thing. I have no problems with mine in a mahogany-bodied guitar, though.
