It's not like I expect anything to change. Everyone is so sure that they're right. And they are all right, but only to themselves. It just gets fucking annoying when there are ten people who all say that they're right, and make no room for compromise.

I agree on everything that has been said about everbody saying they are right and making no comprise. I usually try to do it, but when some dude coming from nowhere tells me that I'm fuckin' retarded cause.........(something).... Things usually take a wrong turn. I really don't know why people are so fast on this forum at saying they are right and everybody else are fuckers.

p.s. I agree that people impose their opinion as fact around here, but it's not unique to this board, it happens everywhere and is part of life that I try to take in stride.

I was saying that I COULD BE WRONG, first. Then I said that I think that it is a fact that people on this thread might agree. By "I think" I did not mean "My opinion is.." It's like saying that you are not sure that it is a complete fact. It's like saying "I think I've got 20$.." but you're not sure that you got 20$... Having 20$ is a fact, not an opinion... understood? that's what I meant, cause my english sucks, it's hard for me to get everything clear you know.
BTW, it looks like a fact to me cause the last people who talked about this agreed. Anyway... I think the discussion is getting a bit far hehe. And I agree about the everyday life thing. There are few people with the ability to make the difference between an opinion and an absolutly true statement. And Finally, I prefer Psycroptic, but I really appreciate Necrophagist too. It's a good fight I think. But for the riff thing... I think John Pettrucci which is an excellent guitarist is one guitarist who is creating weird stuff. Riffs one after another that seems to get nowhere.... I think Psycroptic is kinda using the "progressiv" form of music (the music Pettrucci does) in a more brutal way. Well... that is in my point of view. Listening to Psycroptic makes me think of listening to brutal and heavy Dream Theater.

You know something, this kind of thing is pretty typical. Someone posts a thread about a band. I add my 2 cents about said band. Then everyone starts jumping down my throat and imploring me to elaborate on why I think said band sucks. After I offer my reasons everyone starts accusing me of being pseudo-intellectual and pretentious when all I did was state the reasons for my dislike in a manner unlike the majority of the posters here (by that I mean my use of musical terminology). In fact, I'm not doing anything different from what everyone else does when they make posts exclaiming how such and such a band sucks. The only reason people start getting riled up is because I use terms that they think are obscure and pseudo-intellectual when in fact I'm using common musical terminology. One would think, simply from browsing this forum, that it's a fucking federal crime to have some knowledge in aesthetical/technical aspects of music.

Just be aware that you guys use similarly difficult language. I knew there was a difference between you and Focusphere, Blaphbee or Demiurge, for instance, because your "babble" was instantly readable and obviously not with the intent to offend. Kind of like GoD's posts. Except he don't know musical thoery.

Focusphere doesn't warrant a mention, he just repeatedly tells other boards that he trolls this place, he doesn't actually do so.
