I'm currently recording music on my home PC. I use this PC for other things, gaming, software dev, etc. I want to get a dedicated recording computer that is portable. I record mostly in my band's practice room, but frequently record in other locations.
I'm leaning towards getting a macbook but its getting harder and harder to find 2015 and earlier macbook pros (with regular USB ports) So the questions are: Is anyone recording with a new macbook pro? How are you handling USB-C? Should I also get an external HD (I vaguely remember this being a requirement for macbook recording back in the day)? Anyone having issues with dongles / drivers / etc?
