I swear I didn't make this up. I read/heard somewhere that Robert Lowe was a "candidate" for the vocalist position of Pyramaze. I have friends in the band POWND(drummer Clint McMaine & bass player Steve Watts) that are on the same label, Nightmare Records, as Pyramaze. Maybe one of them mentioned it to me.

legend of the bone carver was the most fucking giant cheese-fest ever but still pretty cool. to be fair i don't listen to iced earth that much so the new vocalist means nothing to me but hopefully it'll be cool.

Honestly, I think any band would sound awesome with Matt's voice...still miss him in Iced Earth but Pyramaze is a really cool band, can't wait for the new album!
2nded. I think Matt will give them a voice that will make them stand out from the rest of the powermetal bands, singing much darker than what's usuall in that genre.
What i want to herar is more "fantasy"-bands that actually sing about the world of the fantasy-settings. After all, the typical fantasy novels are set in a world where most people risk being attacked, murdered and raped by trolls, eaten by dragons and oppressed by all and everybody.
So, why are most songs about fantasy-worlds so fucking happy and cheerfull?
Please remove the dead badger that occupies you ears and try to actually listen to Matt Barlow singing.
The first pyramaze-singer sang as most other power metal singers, with no distinct character at all.
I think Matt will make the songs more emotional without making them cheesy.

Well, I thought we were discussing bands with musicians that at least can play or sing. That clip sucked so hard that I wished it was my girlfriend (if it had brains, that is)

Oh, I'm full and ready prepared for disapointment. If the music stays in the same mood/tone it is now, Matt's voice probably won't work with it.
On the other hand, if they give the music a bit more intensity and pure fucking fury, this could turn out to be mighty fine.
As for Lance King... man is a god. So many amazing albums he's done.
