Q about D.I and Hotplate Line out

Hi! Should I use a DI box between the Hotplate Line-Out and the Firepod input? Sorry for dumb q, but I dont have a clue about balanced\unbalanced hi ohm\low ohm signals you know..
could somebody explain please?
