Reino Ermitaño is an example of what I mean. Nightwish is an example of what I don't mean.

I'm open to all genres of metal except for gothic, industrial or symphonic trash.

Featuring the same singer as Détente - Dawn Crosby (R.I.P.) -, but the music is much darker and more diverse:

A few more recommendations:

Sacrilege from the UK released three albums which sound quite different from each other. Whereas the debut "Behind The Realms Of Madness" sounds similar to Détente's "Recognize No Authority", but has an even rawer sound, their second album "Within The Prophecy" could be classified as Thrash Metal with more elaborate song structures while the third album even has some doom influences.

Something more traditional:

(IMO the best song on Malteze's only album.)

You're probably already familiar with these but:

Mythic - Mourning in the Winter Solstice

Crushing.

Derketa - In Death We Meet

Astarte - Doomed Dark Years

Astarte's later material is pretty bad, but Doomed Dark Years is decent Darkthrone worship.
