I've been trying out the drum quantizing feature in cubase 6 and was wondering what settings you guys use for the quantize feature. I don't want to quantize %100. You can humanize it with the feature in it and was wondering what you guys use for settings. Do you use the iterative quantize or just set the non-Q and randomize feature? I also have been practicing slip editing but wanted to practice this method as well. Thanks

I've only ever used the randomize feature on MIDI drums so they aren't all 100% on the grid, 5-6 ticks for fast stuff, up to 11 ticks for slow stuff is usually best IME. Haven't used iQ much on actual drums as I always just do slip editing which if you don't zoom in all crazy is the same basic result.

i use 92% for whatever reason, IQ all the way. I usually have my offset at -5ms and the threshold at about 60-100 depending on how fast the material is. crossfade is always 5ms, and I always nudge them back a few times before closing the quantize panel.
