Last year we had bush fires.

Last month = some of the worst floods the state has ever been through.

and now; we just had a Category 5 Cyclone come smashing through the far north. 320kmp/h winds as it hit the coast (thank goodness it downgraded quickly).
But just to give you an example of just how huge it is; if it formed over the USA right now..

LOOK AT THAT SHIT!

Using Captain Planet as the basis for prediction, I guess Earth(quakes) are next.

The US is being smashed by a storm over 1000 miles long right now with massive blizzards and freezing temperatures. We get hurricanes all the fucking time. Including ones the size of your cyclone right now. Just in case you didnt know.

The original post was just an observation about the craziness of the past couple of years weather wise for QLD. The USA was just an example to show the size of the cyclone my dear chum.

You should be fine now dude - BoM says that Mt Isa is next in the firing line but only at a Category 1.
