queensryche-american soldier

I was on the fence about going to see them live for one stupid reason or another but I'm going to do everything I can to see it after seeing that setlist. I think I listen to Rage more than any of their works. Plus The Thin Line from Empire... never thought they would do that one.

Northern Lights, only 45 minutes from me has them scheduled for July 24 but the Queensryche site doesnt confirm that yet. It would be after they return from Europe and they are scheduled around the NE then but Im not buying tickets till I see it official... the club claims tickets go on sale 4-25 what to do ?... what to do ?

I was probably going to wind up going anyway, but since I saw the first Seattle set list, I'll definitely be going to Starland in NJ, or the NYC Nokia show (both in 3 weeks). I'd prefer Starland, but it's a Thursday night, so still undecided.

The only tour I missed them was RFO so this is a dream come true, even though I've seen them do all those songs except for I Dream in Infrared and I Will Remember. I also worship The Thin Line, Hand on Heart, and One and Only, so I can't wait.

hey sixx, anything different in the setlist? i saw a setlist where "london", "della brown" and another tune from american soldier were played so they have mixed it up slightly

I picked up American Soldier a few days ago & finally got around to listening to it today. Surprisingly good all around. I was expecting this to be some cynical Geoff Tate anti-war thing, but was glad to see that it wasn't like that at all.
Leading up to this, I'd been listening to Mindcrime II a lot over past few weeks, which was an album that I'd initially dismissed, but have now found it to be very good throughout.
Also today, I dusted of Hear in the Now, which I haven't listened to in at least 8-10 years. I had decided that this album was complete crap at the time, but now find it a good listen, with great DeGarmo guitar solos all over the place.
So, I guess I'm on a QR kick & finally starting to appreciate some of these albums that most people seem to dislike.

glad you enjoy these underrated gems (minus OMCII which i still think is bad). HITNF is underrated for sure.

anyways i looked at the setlists and queensryche has played every tune from rage for order and empire and almost every tune from american soldier

i might be going to the aug. 1st show where queensryche is with dream theater and the prog nation tour but QR is only playing about an hour that show :Smug:

Wha Wha What?! I haven't heard anything about this.

Just checked their site and the dates still seem to be coming in.

Hopefully they hit Detroit. With this tour, both bands should be playing more classic hits (ie. not having 6 dream theater songs that last 12 minutes each).

maybe i confussed you or your post is confussing me but right now AUG 1st in maryland/dc is the only prog nation show queensryche is playing. queensryche are not part of the prog nation tour this year

I'm quite disaponited with the new album.
I thought they came back when I heard brilliant O.M. part II.

People should give chance to Promised land...that's a masterpiece.

Is QR displacing one of the other bands on the PN tour for that Aug 1st show in Columbia, or are they adding them to the bill? I'm not finding much online about this show...
