This might be a totally retarded, unanswerable question, but does anyone have any experience as to what t shirt sizes sell the most? I'm seeing that a 1:2:2:1 ratio is fairly safe (S:M:L:XL), but seeing how we're an American prog metal band, we might want to be more "weighted" on the larger side and have some 2XL and 3XL's at the ready.

I'd like to see if I can get some advice before we place an order.

The shirts actual size varies a lot depending on the brand.
You should ask the guys who take care of the printing.
They usually know what is a good ratio.

With Gloria Morti we have always asked the printing company and they have been amazingly close with the estimate.

You've really got to account for who turns up at your shows, or shows similar to yours. I've found that Death Metal fans tend to be a bit on the larger side, whereas Deathcore are typically small people wanting a tight fit.
We're an arty grindcore band and mediums sold far more.
Another part can also depend on the colour/artwork.
I recommend having a look at the people that enjoy your genre and deciding that way.
