So I bought some new preamp tubes for my 5150. Bought them off ebay as "unlabeled" JJ's. They do look like JJ's but I think some or all of them are microphonic. If I tap on the front of the amp near the input jack, I can hear it through the cab. If I tap on the tubes themselves I get a loud noise through the cab as well. Is this normal or should I be asking for a refund on the tubes?
Here is a short vid I made of the sound the tubes are making. Btw, the power tubes are silent when I tap on them.
I am not hitting the tubes very hard at all and all of the noise you hear is coming from the speakers only.
