Did it come with a real case? Because the only one I could find came in a cheap cd case with no booklet. I thought I would ask because I would understand if it didn't have a real case what with the budget and all.

Also, will they reissue the original cds. I think they should make new copies just as they were when they were released the first time to sell in the store on their site.

the original was released with a booklet, back insert, and real case. i have an original with everything.

Matt definitely wants to remaster it to take into account all these he has learned about recording engineering in the last 9 years. And fans universally have asked for real drums (Matt used a drum machine on the original). Those are the two main reasons they aren't just re-releasing the same thing as the first time.

There's probably also some complications related to rights since the original record label is no longer in existence: that may well make it so that they can't just "make new copies" of the original. I'm not sure.

I'm sure they have pretty much full rights to it, as I believe the band is still friends with the guy who ran Metal Ages (he's just not doing the record label thing anymore). I don't know - I'm probably talking about my arse here. I was just thinking they might not be able to flat out "make copies" of the original and sell them as Trinitial suggested. Maybe there has to be some minimal amount of work you have to do so you're not just copying the originals. I don't know :Spin:

Actually, the guy ho ran MetalAges runs this forum now. He turns up from time to time on the boards. /randomfact

Waaaait a minute.

MetalAges Records is that nice guy who runs this forum? The one with the millions of posts?

I imagine that guy to be as big as a bear but a real softy at heart.

Wow, I had no idea he *was* the label that launched Matt's first album. That's amazing.

Haven't seen you in a while, Ryan :)

That's because I was locked in Shawn's closet (a scary place)... I was hiding there but he locked it, not knowing I was in there :(. I learned a lot about Shawn... but it was a traumatizing experience. Don't even get me started about the Truman Chants etc.

:erk:
