Question DI and DI Box (gain issue?)

Hi, I've noticed that when I connect my Countryman 85 active DI Box to my audio interface, the recording has less gain than if I connecvt guitar direct to the Instrumnet input of my audio interface.

Guitar -> Audim Interface Input = More gain
Guitar -ZDI Box -> Input = Less gain

I have to turn up a quarter the input level to get the same gain than guitar direct.
Considering the DI Box is active, I think there shouldnt be so much difference. Battery is ok.
Too long cable maybe?

Direct box lowers signal level, you should compensate it with mic preamp gain, that`s is.
Different Hi-Z inputs have different maximal signal levels, so you should match gain if you want same level.
For example, interface A has one maximal level, interface B has two times greater maximal level, if you record both with 0 db gain you will have 2 times lower signal in case B.

Yeah that's normal, just raise the input gain on the preamp until it's suitable and you'll be fine.
