Question regarding bass guitar case

I plan on buying a Spector 6 string bass sometime in the future, but currently don't have the money for it. However, I do need a hardshell case for the 4 string P Bass and 5 string Schecter I currently use.

Would the 4 and 5 being able to fit snug (to a point where it's not damaging anything or fumbling around) in this 6 string case?

I don't see why not, especially if the guitars are of equal length body shape/size. The only problem I see would be the neck holder, if it's too large for the smaller basses, but even then a towel or something there would probably do the trick (of holding it in place). Can't tell anything else without trying.
