I've been workin on this piece as of late, the right hand taps are going fine, im getting decent volume when they're by themselves, but when I add in the left hand part, it completely overpowers the right hand tapping. I've made sure that I'm keeping the right hand taps as clean and as loud as possible, but they still tend to get overpowered

Any suggestions for this?

It's hard for me to say without hearing your playing first hand but there is something to be said for the fact that high frequencies attenuate faster then low frequencies so, in the end you have to balance the dynamics with more force in the hand playing the upper notes.

good luck, Chris.
