Question to James about Testament The Gathering Album

Hi James! I wanted to ask as gear question from you. Did you use the EMG 85 pickup to record The Gathering album with Testament? Did you use also a Triple Rectifier like Eric? Also did you use Ibanez guitars till then?

i was still using ibanez at that point, but they were loaded with DiMarzio's... Steve's Special in the bridge and Air Norton in the neck.. and i played the solos through a Marshall but i can't remember which model.

Also do you use the neck pickup for solo?

I just assumed Eric used EMG's because in the Booklet, he is holding up a guitar with what looks like EMG pickups. Weird.
