questions about loop and saving tones of marshall mg100fx

Hi,
recently i bought marshall MG100FX head...
it has a loop button, but i donno how to use it or what's the purpose of it....
Also please tell me how to save my own tones manually? I don't wanna use the presets :S
please help....
