Hello everyone, I have been playing the guitar for a little over a year now and decided to also play the bass, however as a beginner, I don't want to spend too much money on one.
I have been doing some research on what to buy and have decided that I would like to purchase an acoustic/electric bass, which is perfect for me so I can play both loud in my garage and quietly in the house.
I noticed a used J.B. Player EAB2500 at a local Pawn Shop. It is in perfect condition, except for a small tear (missing laminate) in the laminate on the backside (not even as big as a dime).
I have seen this bass guitar list for about $340, and have seen it on sale (new) for as low as $239.99 (plus shipping & handling).
I can purchase this guitar at the Pawn shop for $140.00 ($150.00 after taxes) with a new gig bag (probably worth about $40) and shoulder strap.
Two questions....
1. Does the damage not make it worth buying?
2. What about this J.B. Player Acoustic/Electric Model, is it not a bad model to begin with (quality compared to cost)?
