Hi,
just a few questions:

1. Is there any good and free recording-program? I'm getting sick using the windows-standard-prog.
2. Before I bought the mic I used to put my headset away 2 meters or so. Now I can hold the mic in front of me. But now I hear a raspy sound while growling... I can't explain it. Someone mentioned that it sounds like hocking a loogie. Should I hold the mic in another way? Or is my recording program shit? Or is my technique shit?

thanks. But perhaps you could explain how to do this?

btw: i think my voice IS actually raspy when being close. But I hope there is some trick to let the mic ignore it, kind of...

you know the volume-controll-window in windows? take back the line-in volume a bit (or the mic-in, depends on which one you're using). if your input-signal is to high, you will "loose sound"

Sounds like your technique is what's wrong. Try looking through the numerous growling tip threads in this here forum and see if that helps.
