Quetion for the Canadian Metalheads!!!

I'm Moving to Canada next moth and I need to know what city its a "must" for the bands when touring. which one has better venues for the groups to come. My choise so far is Toronto, or Montreal. I don't know, you guys tell me.

come to toronto. theres always good shows here.
in june theres gonna be a black metal fest, with melechesh, kult ov azazel, plus like 10 other bands.

I'd say that for metal, Montreal would be better, considering that more Canadian Metal bands come from there too. Toronto is equally good for shows, although Slayer is playing Montreal and not Toronto in June.

I've never attended to any show in Toronto, but I know that there are a lot of bands that consider Montreal as a crucial touring stop. I also know that the local metal scene (which I am sort of part of) is pretty well developped. Slayer came 3 times two years ago...sweet. Opeth comes often too

Toronto gets tons of shows..
Hamilton gets quite a few as well..

I'm living in Kitchener, so I'm in perfect driving distance to most of the shows in the southern Ontario area.

I live in western Canada (alberta)...stay away from here, Calgary gets only a quarter of the good shows that Toronto and Montreal get. I think Vancouver gets some good shows too but, I really don't know.

OK guys thanks for answering my "quetion" (I just noticed). Looks like Slayer likes Montreal a lot, Right now I just now Toronto or Montreal is the way to go.

slayer is coming here in august.
and there are TONNS of good local bands. check them out:

Montreal hands down. I'm in Ottawa and I ALWAYS go to montreal for more shows than in TO

martyr, neuraxis and quo vadis are quite big.... but yeah.... there s a shit load of local bands ... but they rock!
