Question for all your guys who record real drum. Did you try to use same speed preamp for your main kit element or you don't care about it?

I ask because I have an upcoming drum session in december (Big studio B room) with various high end preamp (Millenia, Avalon, Focusrite, Laffont, Quad eight, Amek...etc) but not enough same preamp (except Laffont) for cover my main Kit element (Kick, snare, toms and OH).

Any inputs would be appreciate;)

Ok I suppose nobody here really care about preamp speed except people like Joe Barresi...

So here what I decided to use:

-kick in> D112 or beta91 >amek BCML
-kick out>AT4047>amek BCML
-Sn tp1>sm57>Isa 428
-Sn tp2>M201>Isa 428
-Sn bt1>sm57>Isa 428
-Sn bt2>beta57>Isa 428
-T1>sm57>Laffont pre
-T2>sm57>Laffont pre
-T3>md421>Laffont pre
-T4>md421>Laffont pre
-T5>md421>Laffont pre
-HH>SM7>Laffont pre
-Ride>C414 B ULS>Laffont pre
-OH>C414 XLII> Isa 428
-Crashes>KM184>Isa 428
-Close room>TLM170>quad eight
-Far room>coles 4038>drawmer 1969
-trash>sm57>Laffont pre

So I keep all neve ish like preamp for main element (kick, snare and OH) and use ssl ish pre (Laffont is some kind of French SSL) for everything else (except room mic).
