quick question about interfaces

I'm not home right now and I didn't bother bringing my Saffire out here, but I'm planning to slap on a mastering chain on a few bounced songs.

Does an audio interface have any impact on the sonic quality at this point? I have a feeling it has, but I realized I'm not entirely sure.

Well, considering the audio is already recorded....I'd assume the interface wouldnt matter at all since it's only used to record and playback, correct?

DAC makes a difference if you need to make changes to the mix/master.

yup, it can be a factor. But honestly Saffires are pretty clean as far as "coloration" so you would get a really good idea without it. you may have to make some minor tweaks once you get back in the studio, but its probably not something the "average person" would notice.
