Quick question for ProToolsHD users.

DM, that was a worthwhile breakdown b/c there is obviously some confusion.

Yeah it was lookin that way to me, so hope it helps

I'd add that Pro Tools Native (as in using the HD Native card) "Provides 64 channels of I/O with under 1.6ms latency."
So it isn't 32 as was suggested above.
ah yes forgot this bit, indeed.

PT9 is 32io with whatever latency your chosen soundcard can handle without crackling.

HD Native is 64 io with ultra low latency

Still, I don't think the Native cards are selling well b/c they are in competition with the used TDM systems.
Yeah i think Avid lucked out there really the 2nd hand HD market crazy right now.
I think the Native card is more appealing to Mac users who want the latest Mac Pro and to ditch their old PCI G5 towers,
But thats great news for PC users as there are plenty of motherboards around offering 2 or 3 adjacent PCI slots,
Ive even been considering getting a system again but cant afford it right now and i have an older 4 Card Mix rig on PT TDM 6.4.1 for low latency tracking that is solid as a rock.
And a PT9 system for mixing so i kinda have the best of both worlds abeit in 2 separate systems.

What I said is that I didn't see lot of review or impressions written by the users about Native. When I search I only find some Avid technician saying Native has an incredible low latency bla bla bla, but nothing from the users
