...what size monitor you use, and at what resolution?

That's all.

We're trying to modify our site and we'd like to take the average screen size into consideration just so navigation becomes easier for you all.

In advance, I really appreciate your responses. Thanks.

JK.

19" using a 1024x768 resolution

That being said, I have my own web design company and can tell you that you should still design your pages for a minimum of 800x600 ... although all the sites we have done recently re-size automatically depending on resolution.

But you should still desing in 800x600

Sure, I agree. Do you know, out of interest, what percentage of people around the globe are still on the 800x600 setting?

I am 800x600 on a 17" monitor. No matter what size monitor I am using I always set it to 800X600, it is the resolution that OWNS. :)

i use 1024 x 768 on a 15 inch monitor...i think...

i think it would be better to design a 1024 x 768..just in case so people with that size dont have the trouble of having to scroll the screen to see whats on the very right....but thats just what i say...

its more convienient

Re-thinking my original post:

It also depends on your intended audience. It seems that younger people use 1024x768.

But I rarely seen older people use more then 800x600.

For example, redesigning your site for metalheads 1024x768 is fine, but if you were doing an e-commerce site that sells housewares :) definetelly 800x600
