My taskbar currently has AIM and iTunes on it (there's others, it just so happens to be these two causing the problem). Every time I click one of those programs it just makes another icon on the taskbar of the same program so it's on the taskbar twice.

How can I fix this so it doesn't make a whole new icon?

Right-click the Taskbar
Choose "Properties"
Find the "Taskbar buttons:" drop-down menu
Select "Always combine, hide labels"
Press OK
Done
Hope this fixes your problem bro

Damn...

Does anyone know how to fix this!?

I know it's just a minor thing, but it's bugging the crap out of me.

It's a 64 bit thing if i remember correctly. Happens with IEx64
not sure there is any solution, hell, it might even be a different problem, idk :p

I have 64 bit and I don't have that problem, unless you are refering to a 64 bit program. Then again there are many programs and games that install either 64 or 32 depending on the OS you have this is why there are two program files folders, a normal and a x86. The x86 programs where programs that where written with both and the OS installed the 64 bit version. Again, I never have this problem. Hell zip folders and regular folders all pin to each other.
