I'm pretty good at 8-ball. I'd like to give snooker a try someday, but it's not easy to find in the states.

i'm pretty good at pool myself and i can tell you snooker is a thousand times harder, we have a seedy little snooker hall close by. bigger table, smaller pockets, requires way more use of spin because the cueball placement needs to be more precise, requires more defensive strategy if there's not a good pot on, etc. i think it's a much more fascinating game than pool but i can't play it for shit.

Yeah I've watched most of his 147 max breaks. Saw this video on youtube (the title is a lie), but at the end you get a feel for who he is..

I'm not sure, but I think him not potting the black when 147 is possible is because the prize money for them is significantly lower than it used to be, and it's form of a protest.
