Raate - Sielu, Linna

Very good, Finnish, black metal. A bit like Burzum, also some acoustic and ambient passages.

I have no samples, but go to Google and use words Raate Sielu Blog check it and buy it.

I downloaded a track of theirs after I saw that they were part of the split release with Häive, but I'm not really sure what to make of it yet though. Not terribly original music, which doesn't automatically mean that it's not good, but I've yet to find something to latch onto in their music.

Out of curiosity, what does the band name and title mean?

They were not in any split release with Häive.

If I remember right, name Raate has a connection to a place/road in Finnish war-history, but then again, my memory is quite weak...

Sielu, Linna = A soul, a castle = the soul is our castle ...or something like that.
