just played two gigs in Holland and the monitor engineers were crap both times. I had a hard time hearing my voice even with my in-ear, because they would always fuck up the in-ear mix.
My idea was now to put a small rack mixer (possibly 1 rack unit height?) into my live rack and simply get a feed from the monitoring board so I can mix my monitor mix myself and possible correct it during the gig.
Does anyone have experience with this? And what unit would you recommend?
