Some self promotion
I have just completed the tracks for the demo of my solo project Raevnborn. I would describe it as melodic black/viking/folk metal, generally mid-to-slow-paced and certainly a departure from "traditional" black metal. Biggest influences are Wolves in the Throne Room, Drudkh, Forest Silence, Windir.
The demo is titled The Wayfarer, and consists of four tracks:
I: Veiled Hills [the instrumental intro]
II: Wolfen Vengeance
III: The Last Voyage (Lost and Buried at Sea)
IV: Wandering the Mist Forest
