Was curious about the acoustic guitars on this ... "Dark Horses..." & "Happy Never ..." especially have such a perfect sound to them

wondering about what kind of guitar was used, how it was recorded, etc ...

just any info / details would be appreciated

that was 1989, I don't even remember recording the acoustic gtrs on that record, but it would have been a hired gtr as we were in Berlin
