I asked for some advice on here a while back (and on some other forums) for acoustic tips and here is a quick demo of my results:
I spent this afternoon tuning 12 strings, setting up my sound booth/project studio for acoustic recording, and banged out a quick tune.
This is just a small section of it: (it ends abruptly as it's cut off)

4 (individual single mic'd) tracks, 2 x 12 string and 2 x 6 string acoustic (Yamaha 12 and Fender)
Standard tuned, with an old 50's Fender bass into a sansamp.
Nady scm1000 mic - Studio Projects pre - M Audio fast track
It's a simple tune where it's more a song than some riffage etc. I'll be getting ex Arizona singer to track some vocals for me.
I don;t know if it sounds good as I am too close to it, so anything that jumps out, let me know. I'm really happy at the lack of pick I can hear.
I also think the confined, soundproofed booth I recorded it in helped a lot too.
